Collection Kilchoman - Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Kilchoman Distillery (pronounced Kil-ho-man) is a distillery producing single malt Scotch whiskey on Islay, an island in the Inner Hebrides. Kilchoman Distillery is located in the northwest of the island, near Machir Bay.

Kilchoman was founded by Anthony Wills and remains an independent, family run distillery. It's the smallest on the island, but since acquiring Rockside Farm in 2015, it's expanding.

The distillery opened in December 2005 and was the first to be built on Islay since 1908. The distillery uses barley grown on Rockside Farm and malted at the distillery, as well as malt from the Port Ellen malt house, and produces different bottlings depending on the origin of the grain.

The distillery is one of six Scottish distilleries still using traditional ground malting and is unique in that it carries out all parts of the whiskey making process - barley growing, malting, distillation, aging and bottling - on Islay.
