Finland - exceptional Nordic whiskeys

So far there are few whiskey distilleries in Finland, although the land of a thousand lakes has arguably one of the most deeply rooted drinking cultures in all of Scandinavia. With its location on the 'Vodka Belt', the art of distilling is of course not alien, and the production of quality grain plays a large part in the country's economy.

Kyrö Distillery was founded in 2012 by a group of friends in a sauna. All Kyrö spirits are characterized by being made from 100% rye, a grain closely associated with Finland. The distillery has grown from a wild dream to an artisan powerhouse of skill and capacity.
