Hellyers Road - Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky

Renowned for consistently producing some of Australia's finest single malt whiskeys, Hellyers Road Distillery is at the forefront of peated whiskey expressions. She is revered all over the world, but always stays true to her place.

It all started near a town called Burnie - stunning scenery on the north west coast of Tasmania. The trail was once bush - bush excavated in 1827 by Henry Hellyer, an explorer and cartographer commissioned to map this rugged and naturally beautiful landscape.

The idea for the distillery itself came from a community of like-minded dairy farmers who realized in 1997 that their environment was perfect for sourcing pure and quality ingredients. With a reputation for having the world's freshest air, purest water and best natural resources, the decision to produce whiskey in North West Tasmania was inevitable.

In 1999 the distillery was completed and the characteristic spirit was distilled with great enthusiasm and passion.

Fast forward to today. Hellyers Road produces premium whiskeys across a wide spectrum of flavours, from the rich and decadent to the lighter and aromatic - whiskeys of exceptional quality and recognition.

The whiskeys are available in more than 20 countries and the demand for them means many of our most popular whiskeys are already sold out close to their home country. In 2015, Hellyers Road was Australia's best-selling artisanal whiskey producer.
