Collection Filliers - Single Malt Belgian Whisky

Apart from the beautiful rural setting, it is no longer apparent that Filliers Distillery once started out as an agricultural distillery. Today it is one of the last operating family distilleries in Belgium, where knowledge and passion are passed on from generation to generation.

The Filliers Distillery in Belgium produces a range of drinks and spirits including Genever, Gin and Whisky. It produced the first Belgian double still whiskey under the Goldlys name and was the first distillery in Belgium to start aging whiskey.

The distillery is located in Bachte-Maria-Leerne, near Deinze and not far from the city of Ghent in the province of East Flanders. The Filliers family began distilling genever as early as the 18th century, when Karel Lodewijk Filliers decided to give up farming.

Like the Filliers-Jenever, the Goldlys is also made in both pot and column stills, but without the addition of selected juniper distillates. There are now a number of bottlings that have matured in oak barrels for more than ten years, as well as single cask bottlings.
