Collection Macduff - Highlands Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Macduff Distillery Company was founded in 1960. Throughout its history, the distillery's official name has fluctuated between Glen Deveron and MacDuff, with official bottlings mostly released under the former name.

In 1972 Glen Deveron/Macduff was acquired by William Lawson Distillers Ltd. acquired. (known for the blend of the same name), which became part of the Martini & Rossi company in 1980. In 1992, Bacardi Corporation acquired the ownership of Martini & Rossi.

Macduff Distillery sources its malt from an industrial source in Speyside. The distillery uses a combination of peated and unpeated malt depending on the purpose of the spirit the site is distilling. The malt used to make the spirit intended to be sold as a single malt is often lightly peated, giving the single malt a smooth, smoky flavor.
