  • GlenAllachie - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Manufactured with decades of experience, passion for the water of life and great enthusiasm for experimentation. GlenAllachie's goal: “To make Single Malt Scotch whisky the way we like to drink it”.

Founded in 1967, the GlenAllachie Distillery was owned by foreign companies for a long time. Whisky luminary Billy Walker and his partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson decided to change that: in 2017, they founded GlenAllachie Distillers Company and bought the distillery.

Since then, The GlenAllachie has become one of the few independently run distilleries in Scotland. Located at the foot of Ben Rinnes, the distillery is in the heart of Speyside with an emphasis on quality over quantity.

Across 16 warehouses with over 50,000 barrels, the dedicated team has complete control over the entire aging process, giving them the freedom to make decisions for the right reasons.

GlenAllachie has the capacity to produce four million liters of alcohol. We have decided to reduce this to just 600,000 liters. Such a large amount was simply unnecessary; the distillery wanted to focus on developing GlenAllachie as a single malt brand.

By slowing down production, they now have the luxury of being able to do a longer fermentation of 160 hours. This allows GlenAllachie to better understand the operations at the distillery and gives them the time to discover the character of the newly produced spirits.

At the helm of The GlenAllachie Distillers Company is the renowned Master Blender Billy Walker. Since taking over the distillery in 2017, Billy has transformed the spirit that resides in the 16 on-site warehouses into something truly spectacular.

With half a century of experience, Master Distiller Billy Walker is an icon in the Scotch whisky industry. Throughout his illustrious career, Billy Walker has received countless awards, including Master Distiller/Blender of the Year (World Whisky Awards, 2020). In 2021, he was inducted into Whisky Magazine's prestigious Hall of Fame - a continuing honor for those who have made a lasting contribution to the industry.
