Collection Rosebank - Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Rosebank Whiskey is an unpeated, triple distilled Lowland single malt. It is considered one of the best Lowland malt whiskeys due to the triple distillation that gives it a fruity-floral style. It's also one of the few distilleries still using worm barrel condensers, giving the spirit a heavier style as there is less copper contact as the vapor condenses.
Rosebank was once considered one of the finest Lowland whiskeys before the distillery was mothballed by United Distillers in 1993.
In 2002, Diageo's distillery buildings and contents were sold to British Waterways. In October 2017, Ian Macleod Distillers announced that they had acquired the Rosebank Whiskey brand from Diageo and the site from Scottish Canals to revitalize Rosebank Whiskey by building a new distillery and resuming old-style production.
