  • Ballindalloch - Speyside Single Malt Whisky

Ballindalloch Distillery is located in the heart of the Scottish Speyside region, on the grounds of the historic Ballindalloch Castle, which has been owned by the Macpherson-Grant family since 1546. The distillery, founded in 2014, is housed in a converted 19th-century steading. This project marks the return of the Macpherson-Grant family to the whisky industry, following their long history dating back to the 19th century with Sir George Macpherson-Grant, who was involved in whisky production at that time.

Ballindalloch is known as Scotland's first Single Estate Distillery. This means that all production steps, from barley cultivation to distillation, are carried out on the estate. The distillery uses traditional methods without the use of computers, relying instead on the craftsmanship of their team. The distillation process includes the use of traditional worm tubs, which are intended to make the whisky more robust and aromatic. The distillery produces approximately 100,000 liters of whisky annually.

Ballindalloch Distillery is owned by the Macpherson-Grant family, who are distinguished by their high-quality and patient approach to whisky production. The family is committed to using local craftsmen and resources, contributing to the authenticity and quality of their products. The distillery aims to produce non-smoky, yet robust and meaningful Speyside malts.
