Collection Glencadam - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glencadam Distillery is a distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland producing single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery is owned by Angus Dundee plc and produces a malt whiskey. The remainder of the production is sold to blenders or used within Angus Dundee plc to make blended whiskey brands.

Glencadam was mothballed during both world wars. The warehouses were instead used as barracks for soldiers. The spot where the commissariats were located can still be seen on the lawn next to Warehouse #2. Glencadam was acquired by Hiram Walker in the 1950s, which later became Allied Domeq, which closed the distillery in 2000.

Glencadam Single Malt has always been a premium blending whiskey and as such has been highly sought after for some of the world's most prestigious blends.

Finally on June 1st 2003 Glencadam was bought by Angus Dundee Distillers, an independent Scottish company. Angus Dundee immediately resumed production and in December 2005 we launched our first single malt product, Glencadam Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Aged 15 Years. This whiskey was launched in November 2009 with new packaging and a 10 year old bottling.
