Collection Glenburgie - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenburgie, also known as Glenburgie-Glenlivet, Glen Burgie or Glenburry, is a whiskey distillery near Alves, Moray.

There is evidence that the distillery was founded as early as 1810, then under the name Kilnflat. Official records of the distillery have only existed since 1829. After experiencing financial difficulties, the distillery closed in 1870 and was renamed Glenburgie in 1871.

In 2000, Glenburgie production ceased entirely. In 2003-2004 the distillery was completely rebuilt, only the stills of the old distillery were preserved. Soon after, in 2006, two more stills were added, bringing the total production capacity to around 4,200,000 liters of pure alcohol per year.

Most of the whiskey distilled in Glenburgie is used in blends, most notably Ballantine's but also Old Smuggler.
