The Wemyss family of Scotland have long had a passion for malt whiskey and their links with the industry date back to the turn of the 19th century when John Haig (founder of Haig's) established his first distillery on Wemyss land.

The story of Kingsbarns Single Malt Scotch Whiskey begins with the conversion of a historic farmstead into a distillery.

This charming Georgian homestead was built in the 1800s by Thomas Erskine, ninth Earl of Kellie as part of East Newhall Farm and was once home to Cambo House and the estate.
