  • Glenglassaugh - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Glenglassaugh Distillery, located in Speyside, is a malt Scotch whisky distillery that resumed production in November 2008 after being acquired by an independent group of investors. Following a complete renovation by the new owners, the distillery reopened on November 24, 2008. Although the Glenglassaugh Distillery Company had a significant lack of stock and its new spirit was still largely immature, it achieved profitability just three years after reopening the site – four years earlier than planned. The success is attributed to a loyal international fan base and the pioneering effort to sell immature casks to private customers.

After the Scaent Group revitalized Glenglassaugh and saved it from permanent closure, they sold the distillery in 2013 to The BenRiach Distillery Co. Glenglassaugh became the third distillery operated by Billy Walker's company – alongside Benriach and Glendronach – and was sold in 2016 along with its sister distilleries to Brown-Forman, the maker of Jack Daniel's.
