Collection Blair Athol - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Blair Athol Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that distills Blair Athol Single Malt Whisky. It is used in Bell's whiskey and is also normally available in a 12 year old bottling. The distillery is on the southern edge of Pitlochry in Perthshire.

The distillery was founded in 1798 by John Steward and Robert Robertson and was originally called "Aldour" after the Allt-Dour distiller from which the distillery gets its water, but closed soon after opening. The distillery reopened and became the property of John Robertson in 1825.

In the years that followed it was sold several times. The distillery closed in 1932. The defunct distillery was bought by Arthur Bell and Sons but only reopened after a rebuild in 1949. In 1973 the distillery was expanded by two more stills.

Today the distillery has its own visitor center which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
