Floki - Icelandic Single Malt Whisky

Eimverk is a family run distillery established in 2009 with the aim of producing high quality Icelandic spirits using only locally sourced ingredients. The distillery produces three spirits: Flóki, a single malt whiskey, Vor, a pot-distilled gin, and Víti, a special version of Icelandic Brennivín.


Their whisky, Flóki, is the first of its kind in Iceland; it was handcrafted over 4 years in 163 trial distillations and maturation tests to ensure the perfect recipe. The distillery uses its own custom built still to extract the full flavor from the barley and ages the whiskey in new American oak casks. The result is a complex malt with a unique blend of characteristics found in bourbon, scotch and Irish whiskies.

The Icelandic barley variety is hardy and selected to thrive in the short, intense Icelandic summer. It gives the whiskey a sweet maltiness and a mix of spice notes.

As the first and only Icelandic whisky, Flóki continues the tradition of breaking new ground: the distillery's sheep manure smoked reserve is the first of its kind in the world.
