BESCHREIBUNG
Reservoir was founded in Richmond, Virginia in 2008 by childhood friends Jay Carpenter and Dave Cuttino who wanted to honor their southern heritage and shake up the conventional whiskey world. It was the third bourbon whiskey distillery established outside of Kentucky.
This is another TBWC bottling from Virginia distillery Resevoir. This time the focus is on rye, which has been aged for 2 years and is limited to 481 bottles. The distillery's founders, Jay and David, look very pleased on the label.
TASTING NOTES
| Nase Nose |
A note of dried grass and salted caramel leads to sweet grains, including lots of dry rye spice. |
| Gaumen Palate |
The earthy oak spice slowly develops between lots of chewy rye grain and a dose of milk chocolate and vanilla. |
| Abgang Finish |
The finish is long and warming with a strong malt influence. |
