BESCHREIBUNG

A very rare example of Islay whiskey of this age. Distilled in 1968, it is a combination of five sherry butts blended together for the final year. An extraordinarily complex whiskey that any Islay fan will enjoy. Distillation on Islay in the 1960s is famous for producing great spirits bursting with tropical fruit flavors, making whiskeys like this an incredibly rare treat.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Even before you taste it, the senses are filled with full, thick, ripe fruit and heavy, sweet, sticky nectar. A hint of menthol indicates the long maturation of this whiskey.
Gaumen
Palate		 Rich navel oranges and fleshy mango sit atop a dense and warming palate, with flavors reminiscent of green tea, mint leaves and tropical fruit. The flavors are incredibly well balanced and exude elegance and balance.
Abgang
Finish		 Clean and long with carefully balanced minerality.
