TASTING NOTES

Nase Nose	Highly aromatic, this dram opens with nutty, salty smoke, milk chocolate and leathery tobacco. The Oloroso casks imbued this whiskey with rich, syrupy orange and grapefruit citrus notes, along with hints of clove and cinnamon with walnut and praline. Opening up further reveals brown sugar, raisins, dried apples, melon and ripe pears beautifully interwoven with smooth peat smoke.
Gaumen Palate	Notes of smoked nuts and leather, warm orange marmalade on fresh pastries. Dried apricots and a hint of peppery spice on the finish.
Abgang Finish	The earthy peat smoke comes to the fore with time, along with the fruity and nutty flavors of the Oloroso casks. A salty touch of sea breeze provides a lively combination of flavors on the finish.

Octomore - Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Octomore ist der wohl rauchigste Single Malt Whisky der Welt und wird von der Bruichladdich-Brennerei auf Islay hergestellt.
Die Chargen haben Torfgehalte von bis zu 208 ppm erreicht, was deutlich über den Werten anderer Islay-Brennereien liegt, die selten 60 ppm überschreiten. Die Phenole sind bei etwas niedrigerem Alter am ausdrucksvollsten, was dazu führt, dass typische Abfüllungen nur 5-10 Jahre reifen.
