Saftige rote Weintrauben, Himbeeren und rote Johannisbeeren, gefolgt von Erdbeerkompott und Minzblüten.

  • Hazelburn - Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    The Hazelburn Distillery is one of the three whisky styles produced at the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. Hazelburn is known for its light and fruity character, achieved through triple distillation. This method is rare in Scotland and is otherwise only used at the Lowlands distillery Auchentoshan. Hazelburn's unpeated malts are characterized by notes of vanilla, honey, and light fruits, supported by maturation in bourbon casks.

    Hazelburn whiskies include several age statements, such as 10 and 12-year-old variants, as well as limited special editions like the 9-year-old Hazelburn, which is aged in Barolo wine casks. These whiskies are renowned for their complexity and fine taste, achieved through the use of high-quality ingredients and traditional production methods.

    Springbank, the parent company of Hazelburn, is one of the last family-owned, independent distilleries in Scotland. All production steps are carried out manually and without the aid of computers, contributing to the high quality and uniqueness of their whiskies. Hazelburn accounts for about 10% of Springbank's total production, limiting the availability of these whiskies and making them highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs.

    The history of the Hazelburn brand dates back to a former distillery in Campbeltown, which was founded in the 18th century and operated until 1925. This historical connection and the continued production under the Hazelburn name make these whiskies an important part of Scotland's whisky heritage.
