Booker's Batch 2019-04 "Beaten Biscuits" was manufactured in a single day and stored in two warehouses at three locations. The batch is a deep maroon color that is elegant, like all Booker's batches. On the nose, notes of the oak barrel come through the sweetness, much like the scent of caramel icing on a cake. The finish is medium strong and very tasty.

"This batch is named after the small, cracker-like cookies my father, Booker Noe, loved to bake. As with his bourbon and ham, he was meticulous about making the cookies just right.

Dad learned how to make whipped cookies from his grandmother and spent years perfecting the recipe. These little biscuits had to be knocked out of air (hence the name) and had small holes in them to keep them from going stale too quickly. He would camp out in the kitchen for hours, tinkering with the recipe, letting it sit for a while, then coming back for more. At the end of the day the cookies didn't have much flavor. But that's exactly why Papa liked them - they wouldn't alter the taste of the country ham or bourbon he loved to enjoy with them.
