DESCRIPTION

Booker's Batch 2019-04 "Beaten Biscuits" wurde an einem einzigen Tag hergestellt und in zwei Lagerhäusern an drei Standorten gelagert. Die Charge hat eine tiefe kastanienbraune Farbe, die elegant ist, wie alle Chargen von Booker's. In der Nase kommen die Noten des Eichenfasses durch die Süße hindurch, ähnlich wie der Duft von Karamellglasur auf einem Kuchen. Der Abgang ist mittelstark und sehr geschmackvoll.

"Diese Charge ist nach den kleinen, crackerähnlichen Keksen benannt, die mein Vater, Booker Noe, gerne backte. Wie bei seinem Bourbon und seinem Schinken war er auch bei den Keksen peinlich genau darauf bedacht, dass sie genau richtig waren.

Dad lernte die Herstellung von geschlagenen Keksen von seiner Großmutter und verbrachte Jahre damit, das Rezept zu perfektionieren. Aus diesen kleinen Keksen musste die Luft herausgeklopft werden (daher der Name), und sie hatten kleine Löcher, damit sie nicht zu schnell schal wurden. Er kampierte stundenlang in der Küche, tüftelte an dem Rezept, ließ es eine Weile stehen und kam dann zurück, um mehr zu holen. Am Ende des Tages hatten die Kekse nicht viel Geschmack. Aber genau deshalb mochte Papa sie - sie würden den Geschmack des Landschinkens oder des Bourbons, den er so gerne dazu genoss, nicht verändern.

Die Feiertage waren für unsere Familie immer eine wichtige Zeit, und Papa schickte diese Kekse gerne zusammen mit seinem legendären Country-Schinken als Geschenk. Ich hoffe, dass Sie diese Kekse zusammen mit Ihren eigenen Familientraditionen genießen können, ganz im Sinne der Weihnachtszeit."
