BESCHREIBUNG
This is a super premium whiskey collaboration from Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and Metallica. A blend of hand-picked, well-aged North American bourbon and rye whiskeys aged in black brandy casks and the earth-shattering music of Metallica.

Using the BLACK NOISE process developed by the distillery, each batch of whiskey is sonicated with its own Metallica playlist put together by the band. The low-frequency sound waves force the whiskey to penetrate deeper into the cask, extracting more of the caramel, honey and vanilla flavors from the wood. The result is a beautifully balanced whiskey with a bold flavor that can be enjoyed neat, over ice or in a classic whiskey cocktail.

    Blackened Whiskey ist eine echte Zusammenarbeit zwischen zwei Ikonen aus unterschiedlichen Welten. Metallica, ein Kraftpaket des Heavy Metal, und Pickerell, ein echter Pionier des amerikanischen Whiskeys.

    Gemeinsam verwenden die beiden eine Technik zur Klangverbesserung namens "BLACK NOISE", um die Reifung von Blackened Whiskey zu unterstützen. Im Wesentlichen wird Blackened Whiskey hergestellt, indem der Whiskey im Fass durch einen Meyer's Sound Subwoofer geprügelt wird, der eine Auswahl von Metallica-Songs abspielt. Durch diesen Prozess wird der Whiskey in den Fässern aufgewühlt, was zu einer stärkeren Interaktion mit dem Holz der Fässer führt und die Aromen verstärkt.

    Nach dem Tod von Pickerell im Jahr 2018 wandte sich Metallica an Rob Dietrich, ehemals von Stranahan's Single Malt Whiskey, um die Leitung als Destillateur und Blender von Blackened American Whiskey zu übernehmen.
