The team around the founder and visionary Mark Reynier (formerly Bruichladdich) is firmly convinced that the soil conditions, the microclimate and other regional factors influence the nature and quality of their spirits.
The Name Tinnashrule 1.1. already reveals it - it was made at Tinnashrule Farm, which is an hour's drive from the distillery. From the barley grown there, Waterford crafted a young whiskey with a refined cask recipe, a vibrant flavor profile and an increased ABV of 50 percent.
It offers a skilfully arranged interplay of sweet, chewy, grainy and mildly fruity aromas.
15% French premium oak casks (Margaux red wine), 17% Vin Doux Naturel casks (Sherry/Sauternes), 22% New American oak casks, 46% First Fill American oak casks
Nase Nose |
Sweet honeycomb, plums, orange zest and rose water, plus barley flakes, some mint freshness and dark chocolate with the spice of leather and anise. |
Gaumen Palate |
Cloves, white pepper and dark chocolate give way to fresh bread and tangy grapefruit. Notes of orange syrup and root vegetables lead into the aftertaste. |
Abgang Finish |
Long, warming and spicy. |
