  • The Sexton - Single Malt Irish Whiskey

    Sexton ist ein neuer irischer Single Malt Whiskey. Der von Alex Thomas, einer der wenigen weiblichen Master Blender in der Branche, kreierte Sexton beginnt mit den besten Zutaten und verwendet nur ungetorfte, gemälzte irische Gerste für einen reinen Malzgeschmack in der Maische.

    Er wird in kupfernen Pot Stills destilliert, um eine außergewöhnliche Geschmeidigkeit zu erzielen, und reift anschließend in einem Oloroso-Sherry-Fass aus Jerez, Spanien, das ihm eine ungewöhnliche Komplexität und einen reichen Geschmack verleiht.

    Der Whiskey wird in einer edel aussehenden schwarzen, sechseckigen Flasche abgefüllt. Das Etikett zeigt im oberen Bereich ein Skelett mit Zylinder sowie eine Kutsche, die von einem Skelettpferd mit einem Skelettkutscher gezogen wird.

    Der Hinweis auf die Skelette ist eine Assoziation mit dem Namen Küster. Ein Küster ist ein Beamter einer Kirche, Gemeinde oder Synagoge, der für die Instandhaltung ihrer Gebäude und/oder des umliegenden Friedhofs zuständig ist.
