BESCHREIBUNG
Pär Caldenby not only dreamed of having his own distillery, he just built it.
His small artisan distillery is located in the outbuildings of a former farm in Hunnebostrand, Sweden.
These house, among other things, two small copper stills (one only holds 900 liters), bourbon and sherry barrels and a "worm kettle condenser" - a cooling system that has become rare, which makes the raw spirit heavier and fuller.
Now the first 10-year-old is here - the first 10-year-old bottling Dante is based on lightly peated barley malt. The whiskey for smokers is Pär Caldenby's Bloodhound Dante, dedicated to the distillery's nose.
The single malt is as excellent as its sense of smell. The Full 10-year-olds character matured entirely in first-fill Sauternes barriques.
