DESCRIPTION

The Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition by Hunter Laing is an exclusive Islay Single Malt Whisky, bottled specifically for the German market. With an alcohol content of 46% vol., this whisky offers a perfect balance between smoky Islay notes and the sweetness of sherry. It matured in first-fill sherry casks, including Oloroso casks, giving it a complex and layered aroma.

On the nose, powerful peat smoke, dark berries, and a fresh sea breeze dominate. On the palate, warm leather and chocolate notes unfold, accompanied by a hint of fruit and intense smoke. The finish is long-lasting, fruity, and rounded off by spicy oak wood and a touch of tobacco.

This whisky is natural, with no added coloring and unfiltered.

    Scarabus ist ein abgelegener Bauernhof etwa zwei Meilen nördlich von Bridgend, ungefähr in der Mitte zwischen den Lochs Skerrols und Cam in Schottland.

    Die Scarabuss-Brennerei wurde 1817 an John Darrock & Co. lizenziert, aber im folgenden Jahr geschlossen. Die Farm, auf der sich die Brennerei befand, wird heute von einem Herrn A. H. Kerr betrieben.
