BESCHREIBUNG
The Rossville Union line of rye whiskeys is named after the original distillery in Lawrenceburg.

To launch the Rossville line, the distillery created two versions of their signature straight rye whiskey - one at 47% ABV and one at 56.3% ABV. This Rossville Union Master Crafted Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is the bold whiskey with a smooth finish.

While they use the same mash standards, the combination of the two is proprietary. It's a tasty blend of two of their main rye blends. The first is 95% rye and 5% malted barley for a nice rye kick. The second is made with 51% rye, 45% corn, and 4% malted barley for a balanced sweetness. The blend is very balanced and matures in new oak for five to seven years. The edition is limited to only 83 barrels.

Bottle contains 750ml, but was relabeled to 700ml due to German packaging regulations.

Nase
Nose		 Rye spices followed by sweet caramel, cinnamon and aged leather.
Gaumen
Palate		 Pleasantly sweet with all the spices you could wish for, with floral notes and Tahitian vanilla.

  • Rossville Union - American Rye Whiskey

    1847, inmitten des goldenen Zeitalters des Roggens, gründete George Ross die wichtigste Brennerei von Lawrenceburg.

    Ihr Name war Rossville Distillery, und seit fast zwei Jahrhunderten hat sie sich den Ruf erworben, einige der besten Roggenwhiskeys der Welt herzustellen. Als eine der ursprünglichen Brennereien von Lawrenceburg hat sie die Ehre, die älteste noch in Betrieb befindliche Brennerei in Indiana zu sein.

    Abgesehen von einer kurzen Umstellung auf industrielle Produktion während der Prohibition hat sie seither ununterbrochen feine Spirituosen hergestellt.

    Durch eine Reihe von Fusionen und Übernahmen war sie im Laufe der Jahre im Besitz von Seagram's, Pernod Ricard und anderen.

    Doch seit 2011 ist es das Flaggschiff von MGP - einem der größten Hersteller von Whiskey, Gin und anderen Spirituosen.

    Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskeys sind eine Hommage an die historische Ross & Squibb Distillery und an Lawrenceburgs Meisterschaft in Sachen Roggenwhiskey.

    Mit großem Respekt vor Amerikas ursprünglicher Spirituose machte sich die Brennerei daran, einen Roggenwhiskey zu kreieren, der neue amerikanische Handwerkskunst mit der Seele von 1847 verbindet.

    Das Ergebnis ist unverkennbar kühn und unapologetisch temperamentvoll. Das neue goldene Zeitalter des Rye ist offiziell angebrochen.
