DESCRIPTION

The Nc’nean Aon – Bourbon Single Cask #17-232 is an organic single malt Scotch whisky from the Scottish Highlands, bottled exclusively for Kirsch Import. Distilled in July 2017, this whisky originates from the first production year of the Nc’nean Distillery and is therefore among the oldest bottlings of the organic distillery. After almost seven years of maturation in a first-fill bourbon cask with the cask number 17-232, it was bottled in June 2024 and is limited to only 241 bottles.

This special single malt presents itself with a creamy texture and a multi-layered aroma profile. Unfolding notes of spicy pastries, fresh orange peel, creamy sweetness, and a hint of fine cedarwood. The long maturation period in a high-quality bourbon cask imparts exceptional depth and complexity that will delight connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

With an alcohol content of 57.1% vol. at cask strength, the Nc’nean Aon offers an intense tasting experience. It is non-chill-filtered and uncolored, preserving its natural aromas and authentic color.     The Nc'Nean Distillery, located on the Morvern Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, is one of the youngest and most environmentally friendly whisky distilleries in the country. Founded in 2017, Nc'Nean became known as Scotland's first fully organic distillery and focuses on sustainable production methods.     The name Nc'Nean is derived from "Neachneohain," the Queen of Spirits in Gaelic legend. Nc'Nean's first whisky release, launched in the spring of 2020, was characterized by a light and fruity profile, with notes of citrus, apricot, peach, and spices. The distillery has also released a series of special editions, including the "Quiet Rebels" series and the "Huntress" series, known for their unique flavor profiles and limited availability.
