Introduced in February 2017, Minor Case Rye is the flagship rye whiskey from Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, KY. Another historic brand for the distillery, honoring the legacy of Paul and Steve Beam's great-grandfather, Minor Case Beam, whose specialty was the rye whiskey from the eponymous distillery.
This rye whiskey is aged for 2 years before being finished in sherry casks for 6 months.
In fact, Minor Case Rye appears to be the only rye whiskey to be aged exclusively in US sherry casks and this is undoubtedly why it stands out from both its competitors in the rye whiskey category and the smaller sherry finished rye whiskeys differs.
