BESCHREIBUNG
Deep under a Swedish mountain, Stjärnrök rises into the sky. Crafted using artisanal, smoky recipes, Stjärnrök is matured into its true form in a shelter of Oloroso, ex-Bourbon and American oak casks to develop its body, complexity and smooth sweetness. Underground, it develops its deep, dark red, ripe notes from Spanish Oloroso and combines these with the native cloudberry of the surrounding ancient forests.

Juniper smoke and oloroso blend with tones of cloudberry for a lingeringly warming and complex whiskey. Stjärnrök can be enjoyed alone, but also goes well with winter cold cuts with ripe figs, walnuts and strong hard cheese.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Smoke, spice and peat with hints of juniper. Fruity, raisins, nuts, dried fruits, toasted bread tones, vanilla fudge, tobacco leaves, sandalwood, cedarwood and ginger.
Gaumen
Palate		 Smoky, fruity and spicy with notes of peat and juniper along with minerals, herbs from vanilla fudge, raisins, orange peel, dark chocolate and dried fruit. There are also spicy notes of toasted oak barrels, sandalwood and cedar, aniseed, white pepper and ginger. A soft oak note and a slightly oily texture.
Abgang
Finish		 Significant smoke in the aftertaste in symbiosis with exotic dried fruits.

  • Mackmyra - Single Malt Swedish Whisky

    Mackmyra Whisky, eine schwedische Single-Malt-Whisky-Destillerie, ist nach dem Dorf und Gutshof Mackmyra benannt, wo die erste Brennerei im Wohnbezirk Valbo gegründet wurde.

    Alle Zutaten, die für die Produktion verwendet werden, stammen aus einem Umkreis von 75 Meilen um Mackmyra, mit Ausnahme der Hefe, die von Rotebro bezogen wird.

    Das Wasser wird in einem nahegelegenen Esker auf natürliche Weise gefiltert und nur mit einem hochintensiven UV-Licht sterilisiert. Der Torf stammt aus einem örtlichen Moor bei Österfärnebo, und die Brennerei verwendet Gerste aus Dalarna und vom Gut Strömsta in Enköping.

    Mackmyra füllt alle seine Produkte in ihrer natürlichen Farbe und ohne Zusatzstoffe ab und lässt seine Spirituosen in vier verschiedenen Fasstypen reifen: Bourbon, Sherry, schwedische Eiche und ein spezielles Fass, das aus klassischen amerikanischen Bourbonfässern und schwedischer Eiche besteht.

    Der Whisky reift in der Regel 50 Meter unter der Erde in der stillgelegten Bodås-Mine in Hofors, und die meisten Abfüllungen sind in Fassstärke, mit Ausnahme von The First Edition und Mackmyra Brukswhisky.
