Each year, Distillery Manager John Campbell creates a limited edition malt to celebrate the Friends of Laphroaig and friendship ("Càirdeas" in Gaelic) in general.

Càirdeas 2020 is a blend of distinctive single malt Scotch aged in two different types of wood. While a portion is aged in the distillery's signature charred ex-bourbon casks, the remainder is poured into second fill ruby ​​red port casks. Both are blended together to complete their aging in red wine casks.

This particular maturation method gives Laphroaig a honeyed sweetness, the richness of dark chocolate and the spiciness of pink peppercorns that make up the distinctive taste of medicinal smoke and sea salt. To the friendship.

Nase

    Die Laphroaig-Destillerie ist eine schottische Single-Malt-Whisky-Destillerie auf Islay. Benannt ist sie nach dem Landstrich am Kopf des Loch Laphroaig an der Südküste der Insel Islay.
