BESCHREIBUNG
Michel Reick is a fixture in the whiskey industry and as an ambassador at Kirsch Import. As the head of the established brands Best Dram, Scotch Universe, The Old Friends and Whiskey Druid, he proves his knack for barrels, hogsheads and Co. as well as with exclusive single casks, which he fills under his nickname from the whiskey scene for Kirsch. His fascinating finds flow into the rounded, heavy special bottle "Little Sumo".
For the second time, Michel found what he was looking for in Finland. After a bottling by Teerenpeli last year, he now shows the Whiskey potential of the Scandinavians with the Whiskey Druid Kyrö 2017/2021. As is typical for the young distillery, the characterful rye whiskey is made from 100% Finnish whole grain rye - difficult to distill, but intensely spicy.
What is special: the rye malt was smoked over alder wood. After refinement in the Pedro Ximénez Sherry Barrel, the result is an unusual and unusually attractive combination of aromas such as dried fruit and dry grass, malty cereals, smoke and herbs.
