  • Knob Creek - American Bourbon Whiskey

    Knob Creek ist ein Straight Bourbon Whiskey aus Kentucky, der zu Beam Suntory gehört und in der Jim Beam-Brennerei in Clermont hergestellt wird.

    Zusammen mit Booker's, Baker's und Basil Hayden's gehörte er zu der 1992 von Booker Noe (1929-2004), dem Enkel von Jim Beam, eingeführten Small-Batch-Bourbon-Reihe. Noe gilt als Vater der Kategorie der Small Batch Bourbons.

    Knob Creek ist nach dem Bach benannt, der durch das Elternhaus von Präsident Abraham Lincoln in Kentucky fließt.

    Die Whiskeys sind bekannt für ihre tiefe Farbe und ihren süßen, reichhaltigen, holzigen Karamellgeschmack, der auf eine lange Reifung zurückzuführen ist. Der Single Barrel Reserve reift neun Jahre in Holz, bevor er auf den Markt kommt - eine bemerkenswert lange Reifezeit für einen Whiskey. Booker Noe wollte mit diesem Stil an den Bourbon vor der Prohibition anknüpfen.
