BESCHREIBUNG
Founded in 1999, Hellyers Road is one of the first distilleries in Tasmania after around 150 years of prohibition-related standstill - and one of those who form the epicenter of Australian whiskey production.

The distillery's single malt is made with malted barley from Tasmania's oldest brewery. A long fermentation process (a good 65 hours) lays the foundation for the typical bright fruit and citrus notes of Hellyers Road whiskeys. Carefully and very slowly at 72 hours, the Tasmanians distill 2.5 times in two large pot stills made of stainless steel and copper, let their raw brandy mature for at least 7 years and thus create real whiskey diversity.

Their varied range is complemented by bottlings from the Master Series - such as the Hellyers Road 18 yo The Tasmania Single Malt Whiskey is an exclusive bottling for The Nectar and Kirsch Import from the First Fill Bourbon Cask, limited to a total of 197 bottles.

In a rich, dark copper tone, it exudes seductive aromas of malt and subtle sweetness, which continue on the palate with notes of pastry, barley sugar and a hint of lemon right through to the long, malty finish.     Alles begann in der Nähe einer Stadt namens Burnie - einer atemberaubenden Landschaft an der Nordwestküste Tasmaniens. Der Weg war einst Busch - Busch, der 1827 von Henry Hellyer, einem Entdecker und Kartographen, der den Auftrag hatte, diese zerklüftete und natürlich schöne Landschaft zu kartographieren, ausgehoben wurde.

    Im Jahr 1999 war die Brennerei fertiggestellt und die charakteristische Spirituose wurde mit großem Elan und Leidenschaft destilliert.
