DESCRIPTION
Die vierte "Special Release" und die zweite Edition der Sherry Cask Reserve ist ein reichhaltiger und würziger Whisky, der ausschließlich in First-Fill-Pedro Ximenez-Fässern gereift ist und seit 2017 in den Lagerhäusern der Spirit of Yorkshire Destille reifte.

Warum PX-Fässer? Die Special Releases zeigen eine andere Seite des Lager- und Brennereicharakters, in diesem Fall einen viel tieferen und dunkleren Whisky im Vergleich zum Bourbon-Reife-Hausstil.

Pedro Ximenez gehört zu den süßesten und reichsten Sherryweinen der Welt mit Aromen von Honig, Marmelade, Rosinen und kandierten Früchten. Der Whisky ist reichhaltig und fruchtig mit Aromen von Bratäpfeln, Cinder-Toffee, Schoko-Orange und Obstkuchen.

Er wurde mit gehaltvollen 46,0 % vol. abgefüllt und ist natürlich nicht kältefiltriert und ohne Zusatz von Farbstoffen.

  • Filey Bay - Single Malt Yorkshire Whisky

    Located near the picturesque Filey Bay coast in the village of Humanby, the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery is the result of a successful collaboration between farmer Tom Mellor and business partner David Thompson, who source all their sustainably grown barley from wind power and the farm's own spring water for the unique whisky character directly from Wold Top Farm, owned by Tom Mellor.

    The two business partners were supported and advised by the late renowned whisky expert Dr Jim Swan, who helped set up and advised several award-winning distilleries, including Kavalan in Taiwan, Penderyn in Wales and the Speyside Distillery in Scotland, while the gannet symbolises the strong cultural connection to the homeland that the whisky from Filey Bay is intended to reflect.

    The gannet is a bird that is close to its homeland and symbolises the company's values: fearlessness, precision and grace - after all, the largest gannet colony on the British mainland is located not far from the distillery. The whiskey therefore carries the spirit of the people and the place where it is created.
