DESCRIPTION

Premiumfässer mit schottischem Whisky aufstöbern – das stand schon immer im Mittelpunkt der Elixir Distillers. Seit 2002 veröffentlicht der unabhängige Abfüller diese unter dem Namen The Single Malts of Scotland.

Die Range besteht aus herausragenden, unverfälschten Vintage Single Malts aller schottischer Whiskyregionen. Neben wohlgereiften Single Casks gehören dazu u.a. die Small-Batch-Abfüllungen der Reihe Reserve Casks, deren „parcels“ aus je mindestens zwei Fässern vermählt werden.

Whisky-Fans, die rauchige und maritime Geschmacksprofile mögen, werden diesen Caol Ila 2012/2023 schätzen, der 11 Jahre lang reifte, bevor er 2023 mit 48% Alkohol abgefüllt wurde.

TASTING NOTES

Nase Nose	Die Nase wird von einem reichen und vielschichtigen Bouquet begrüßt, das von der Süße tropischer Fruchtkuchen und Honigmelone dominiert wird. Die zusätzliche Wärme von Rosinen vermengt sich mit einer feinen Rauchigkeit, die an ein sanftes Barbecue erinnert. Abgerundet wird das aromatische Profil durch einen Hauch von verkohlten Zitrusfrüchten, die eine erfrischende Zitrusnote hinzufügen.
Gaumen Palate	Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Caol Ila Parcel No.11 als ein wunderbar ausgewogener Whisky. Die süßen Noten der Nase setzen sich fort, ergänzt durch die tiefen, warmen Aromen von Sherry und Eiche aus der Fassreifung.
