BESCHREIBUNG
The first issue of Fable deals with the legend of the 'Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay', a tale set on the south west coast of Scotland near Stranraer. Fable has collaborated with artist Hugo Cuellar to create an enchanted world in which label illustrations highlighting characters and scenes form a series of eleven chapters.

Chapter Six: Crows' is symbolic of the crows that accompany the flute player on his way through the cave. The 12-year-old bottling comes from a hogshead from the Blair Athol distillery.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 A bit of spice in the form of nutmeg and custard. There is also a hint of grated coconut and a certain sweetness, which mainly has to do with toffee, brown sugar and also some liquorice.
Gaumen
Palate		 Quite creamy and sweet with vanilla and sugar, juicy and round with the spices adding a nice touch, pepper, cinnamon and baked red apples in whipped cream complete the experience. Hints of banana, orange, lemon. Light, fragrant smokiness. Lively.
Abgang
Finish		 Ginger, toasted oak. Pretty long. Nice and creamy, pastries, waffles with a partial chocolate coating, the finish is very long and more spicy than sweet.

    Die Blair Athol Distillery ist eine Brennerei in Schottland, die Blair Athol Single Malt Whisky destilliert. Er wird in Bell's Whisky verwendet und ist normalerweise auch in einer 12-jährigen Abfüllung erhältlich. Die Brennerei befindet sich am südlichen Rand von Pitlochry in Perthshire.

    Die Brennerei wurde 1798 von John Steward und Robert Robertson gegründet und hieß ursprünglich "Aldour", nach dem Allt-Dour-Brenner, aus dem die Brennerei ihr Wasser bezieht, wurde aber bald nach der Eröffnung geschlossen. Die Brennerei wurde wieder eröffnet und ging 1825 in den Besitz von John Robertson über.

    In der Folgezeit wurde sie mehrmals verkauft. Die Destillerie wurde 1932 geschlossen. Die stillgelegte Brennerei wurde von Arthur Bell and Sons aufgekauft, aber erst nach einem Wiederaufbau im Jahr 1949 wieder eröffnet. Im Jahr 1973 wurde die Brennerei um zwei weitere Brennblasen erweitert.

    Heute verfügt die Brennerei über ein eigenes Besucherzentrum, das jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern anlockt.
