This limited edition whiskey was inspired by the bold attitude of Ardbeg and his community. The bottling was inspired by the little-known punk scene on Islay in the 1970s.

Described as a 'punky' limited edition whiskey bottled to celebrate Ardbeg Day, Ardcore was crafted with toasted black malt - a first for Ardbeg - for a unique burnt aroma and taste. It has been matured in ex-bourbon casks to develop the intense smoky flavors that set it apart from other whiskeys and is non-chill filtered for maximum flavor, body and depth.

Ardbeg Ardcore is intense and has the powerful peaty flavor you'd expect from Ardbeg, with notes of charcoal and sweet smoke, and a long, lingering finish. The addition of unconventional roasted black malt gives the flavor a pungency that makes for a whiskey full of substance and attitude.
