DESCRIPTION

Treten Sie mit dem Ardbeg An Oa Single Malt Whisky in eine Welt von unvergleichlicher Komplexität und Ausgewogenheit ein. Benannt nach dem Mull of Oa im Südwesten von Islay, wo sich die Brennerei befindet, fängt dieser Whisky den Geist der wilden, ungezähmten Insel ein.

Der An Oa wird in der legendären Ardbeg-Brennerei hergestellt und ist ein Beweis für die Kompetenz der Brennerei bei der Herstellung mehrdimensionaler Whiskys, die sowohl harmonisch als auch intensiv sind.

Dieser schottische Whisky wird nicht kühlgefiltert und mit 46,6 % ABV abgefüllt. Er reifte in einem speziell angefertigten Eichenfass (Gathering Vat), in dem Whiskys aus verschiedenen Fasstypen - darunter süßer Pedro Ximenez, würzige jungfräuliche verkohlte Eiche und intensiver Ex-Bourbon - miteinander vermählt werden, um einen Whisky von erhabener Komplexität zu schaffen.

In der Nase bietet der An Oa eine verlockende Mischung aus cremigem Toffee, Anis, Datteln und Spuren von Pfirsich und Banane. Am Gaumen ist er weich und cremig, mit Aromen von Milchschokolade, Sirup-Toffee, Anis, Orange und rauchigen Teeblättern, alles eingehüllt in eine Wolke des für Ardbeg typischen Torfrauches. Der Abgang ist lang anhaltend und rauchig, mit Noten von Anis und Hickory und einem Hauch von Nelkenschärfe.

Der Ardbeg An Oa bietet ein einzigartig abgerundetes und subtil rauchiges Whisky-Erlebnis, das ihn zu einem perfekten Dram für diejenigen macht, die die weichere Seite der rauchigen Angebote von Islay erkunden wollen.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Abgerundet und rauchig - wie brennendes Apfelholz - mit cremigem Toffee, Anis, Sirup und Datteln. Eine merkwürdige Andeutung von saftigen Früchten, wie Pfirsich und Banane. Mit einem Tropfen Wasser erinnert er an den klassischen Duft von Ardbeg - Limette, Kiefernharz, Fenchel, Sattelseife und Teer. Eine sanfte Wachsigkeit, wie duftendes Kerzenwachs, und Anklänge an geräucherte Kräuter. An Oa erinnert schließlich subtil an das Meer mit salzigen Noten und Seetang, aber immer begleitet von Cremigkeit.
Gaumen
Palate		 Eine weiche, cremige Textur führt zu einer enormen sirupartigen Süße, Aromen von Milchschokolade, Sirup-Toffee, Anis, Orange und rauchigen Teeblättern. Sanfte, süße Gewürze (Muskatnuss und Zimt), etwas Zigarrenrauch und ein sehr ungewöhnlicher Geschmack von gegrillten Artischocken. Das Holz ist in der Spirituose immer präsent, leicht nussig und erinnert an eine Schreinerwerkstatt. Langer, süßer Abgang mit blumigen Obertönen, Minz-Toffee und leichten malzigen Biskuitnoten.

Finish		 Langanhaltend, verführerisch, sanft und doch intensiv, mit Aromen von Anis, Hickory und einem fernen, subtilen Rauch.
