DESCRIPTION
Der jüngste und älteste Whisky in Ardbegs Kernsortiment. Dieser herausragende Ausdruck beweist eindeutig, dass das Alter die rauchige Kraft von Ardbeg nicht zähmen kann. Aber es kann einige der komplexesten und majestätischsten Aromen hervorbringen, die jemals aus der Ardbeg Distillery hervorgegangen sind.

Abgefüllt aus unglaublich seltenen Fässern, die während einiger der dunkelsten Tage der Brennerei gefüllt wurden, ist dies Ardbeg in seiner komplexesten, ausgewogensten und betörendsten Form.

Majestätische Aromen von geräucherter Sahne und erdigen Lagerfeuern sind meisterhaft mit Schichten von Kiefer und duftendem Kerzenwachs verwoben. Am Gaumen erhebt sich scharfer Pfeffer, der sich um die Süße von Zitronensorbet windet, während Anklänge von Karbolseife und Teer in einen langen Nachgeschmack münden, der von zartem Anis geprägt ist, der sich mit nachklingender Sahne und Karamell umgibt.

Nicht kühlgefiltert mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 46%.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Ein scharfer Ausbruch von geräucherter Sahne, Pfefferminze und Toffee, mit Ardbegs klassischem Fenchel und Kiefernharz. Entfernte erdige Lagerfeuer mischen sich mit pflanzlichen und fruchtigen (Banane und tropische) Noten, zusammen mit duftendem Kerzenwachs.
Gaumen
Palate		 Ein extrem lebhaftes, scharfes, pfeffriges Mundgefühl führt zu einem Ausbruch von Brausezitronensüße (kandierte Äpfel, Birnen und Orangen), einem Hauch von Karbolseife und Teer, mehr cremigem Toffee, Anis und Chilipfeffer.
Abgang
Finish		 Der Nachgeschmack ist lang, weich und lang anhaltend, mit viel Sahne, Karamell und zarten antiseptischen Noten. Ein eleganter, beruhigender Ardbeg-Stil.

The Ardbeg Ten Years Old, for instance, was named World Whisky of the Year and Scotch Single Malt of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2008. Ardbeg Uigeadail continued this trend, receiving the same accolades in 2009 and 2010. Such recognition cements Ardbeg's status as a producer of exceptional Scotch.

    Ardbeg's pioneering spirit extends beyond traditional whisky-making. In 2011, the distillery sent 20 vials of Ardbeg spirit and wood particles to the International Space Station, showcasing its commitment to innovation. Despite its international fame, Ardbeg remains deeply rooted in its local community, employing around sixty staff members who reside locally.

    Operating with two pot stills, Ardbeg produces approximately 10,000 casks (1.4 million liters) of spirit annually. The name 'Ardbeg,' derived from the Scottish Gaelic 'An Àird Bheag,' meaning 'The small headland,' is not just a name but a testament to the distillery's connection to the land and community.
