BESCHREIBUNG
Founded in 2016, Nagahama is part of a new generation of Japanese distilleries - and a result of the increasing demand for domestic premium products. The tiny craft distillery does not yet have enough of its own whiskey. To provide a foretaste, Nagahama marries the in-house spirit with malt whiskeys from around the world. The result: the Amahagan World Malts.

Amahagan Edition No. 3 Mizunara Wood Finish is the third whiskey produced by Nagahama Distillery and the third in the World Malts Series, which consists of blends of new malts distilled locally in Japan and imported from abroad.

The Amahagan Edition N°3 Mizunara Wood Finish was bottled in Mizunara casks (Quercus Crispula), the famous Japanese oak, to emphasize the influence of different cask types during aging.

It shows a rich and complex profile with fruity notes of citrus fruits such as orange, Gurmand notes of dark chocolate and oriental sugar and spicy notes typical of whiskeys aged in Mizunara casks.
