There's nothing good that can't be found here: That Boutique-y Whiskey Company works with distilleries from around the world to produce their premium whiskeys in small batches. For example, the independent bottler makes distilleries accessible that hardly ever publish original bottlings.

This is the 10th bottling by That Boutique-y Whiskey Company from the Aberlour Distillery in Speyside. It is a 31 year old single malt whiskey distilled in 1990, aged in a single cask and bottled at cask strength.

On the label, artist Emily Chappell has transformed the iconic hotel featured on the original TBWC Aberlour label into a mash tun that opens to reveal the simmering and boiling inner workings.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Rich, fruity and floral. Delicate orchard blossoms followed by apple compote, caramelized poached pears, raisins and Medjool dates.
Gaumen
Palate		 Complex and beautifully balanced. Notes of cinnamon, baked apples and a delicate wood spice. Waxy wood polish, roasted nuts and raisins.

Finish		 Drying and waxy finish.

  • Aberlour - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    Aberlour ist eine Destillerie für schottischen Single Malt Whisky in der Stadt Aberlour in der Speyside. Obwohl auf ihren Etiketten 1879 steht, wurde die Aberlour-Brennerei bereits 1826 von James Gordon und Peter Weir gegründet. Die ursprüngliche Brennerei, die bei einem Brand zerstört wurde, wurde 1879 von James Fleming wieder aufgebaut, und dieses Datum ist auf den Flaschen angegeben.

    Aberlour wird besonders von seiner Wasserquelle beeinflusst, die aus dem Ben Rinnes fließt. Auf seinem Weg nimmt es spärliche Mineralien auf, was zu einem natürlich weichen Wasser führt, das Aberlour seinen weichen, delikaten Charakter verleiht.
