Bert Bruyneel est le fondateur d'Asta Morris, un embouteilleur indépendant belge. Après avoir été abstinent pendant les 19 premières années de sa vie, tout a commencé lorsqu'un ami/barman lui a servi un verre de Jack Daniels Single Barrel en 1994. L'intérêt de Bert pour le whisky est devenu un passe-temps, et de ce passe-temps est née une passion.

En 1999, Bert a cofondé la Wee Dram Whisky Society en Belgique, avec le barman qui lui avait servi ce Jack Daniels 5 ans auparavant. En 2009, encouragé par deux amis, Bert a fondé Asta Morris. Au début, la seule activité consistait à écrire des chroniques et des articles pour divers magazines de whisky et à organiser des dégustations pour deux importateurs de spiritueux belges bien connus.

Depuis lors, Asta Morris s'est développé pour devenir un embouteilleur indépendant reconnu, connu pour ses embouteillages de single cask et ses étiquettes au design de bulles distinctif. Les whiskies sont généralement proposés en tant que sorties de fût unique sans réduction et sont disponibles chez des détaillants spécialisés en Europe ainsi qu'au Japon, à Hong Kong, au Canada et en Australie.
