DESCRIPTION

To mark the tenth anniversary of his brand, the Whisky-Druide presents two new releases that underscore his expertise in cask maturation. As an independent bottler, he personally selects the casks for his Best Drams on-site in Scotland’s whisky regions. These are bottled as single casks at cask strength, without chill filtration and without added coloring, preserving the authentic quality of the whisky.

The Linkwood 2013/2024 is an outstanding example of the creamy sweetness that the Speyside region is known for. After ten years of aging in a first-fill Ruby Port barrique, the fruity notes of this light single malt develop into rich aromas of black cherries and wild berry compote. With an alcohol content of 57.1% ABV and a limited edition of 287 bottles, this whisky offers an intense and exclusive tasting experience.

Nose Auf die fruchtige Süße von Waldfruchtkompott, altem Portwein und Schwarzkirschen folgt dezent Milchschokolade.
Palate Cremiges Mundgefühl. Dunkelfruchtige Portweinsüße und vollreife Brombeeren entfalten sich vor dem Hintergrund leichter, ausgleichender Tannine.
Finish Cremig, süß, dunkel und sanfter werdend.

  • Linkwood - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    The Linkwood Distillery, founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, is located on the outskirts of Elgin in the Speyside region of Scotland. Known for its fresh and floral aromas, the distillery holds a significant place in the history of Scottish whisky.

    After a comprehensive renovation by the founder's son, William Brown, in 1874, the distillery continued to develop and underwent several modernizations, particularly in the 1970s when a second distillery was built opposite the original.

    Linkwood primarily produces whisky for blends such as Johnnie Walker and White Horse but also offers some notable single malt releases. Popular releases include the Linkwood 12 Years from the Flora & Fauna series and independent bottlings by Gordon & MacPhail. These whiskies are known for their light, fruity flavor profile with notes of apple, pear, and vanilla, accompanied by a hint of smoke and a pleasant texture.

    The distillery uses water from the Millbuies Spring and distills in traditional copper pot stills. Maturation takes place in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, contributing to the complexity and depth of the whiskies.

    Each whisky is bottled without the addition of coloring or chill filtration to preserve the natural taste and aroma. Special attention is given to single cask bottlings, which are available in limited quantities.
