Nach dem Erfolg des Glenmorangie Malaga Cask Finish folgt nun ein neuer limitierter 13 Jahre alter Single Malt Whiskey, der in Bourbon-Fässern aus amerikanischer Weißeiche gereift ist und seinen Nachhall in ausgewählten Cognac-Fässern erhalten hat.

Diese feine Vorgehensweise führt zu eleganten Noten von Gewürzen und Leder, die sich mit den bekannten Fruchtaromen von Glenmorangie vermischen. Dies verleiht dem einzigartigen Batch glorreiche Tiefe, Körper und einen beeindruckenden Geschmack mit langem, elegantem Nachhall.

Der Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden träumt schon lange davon, den sanften, milden Geschmack von Cognac mit dem Single Malt von Glenmorangie zu kombinieren, aber die französischen Eichenfässer brachten bisher die Gefahr mit sich, seine feinen, fruchtigen Aromen zu erdrücken. Daher hat er sorgfältig Fässer ausgewählt, die schon viele Male befüllt worden sind, um den Einfluss des Holzes zu minimieren. So kommen leichte Aromen von Nelken, Paprika, sowie Spuren von Leder zur Geltung.

TASTING NOTES
Nose Noten von Passionsfrucht, weißen Trauben und gekochten Äpfeln. Ein Hauch von frischem Leder, Vanillezucker, Cassis und Orangenschokolade.
Palate Getrocknete tropische Früchte und Nektarinen, Vanillegebäck, Gewürznelken und eine gut abgerundete eichige Würze verleihen dem Wein Tiefe, zusammen mit Anklängen von Marzipan, dunkler Schokolade und einem leicht erdigen Tabakelement.
Finish Ein wenig Nelke und anhaltende saftige Fruchtsüße.

    The Glenmorangie Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, is one of the most well-known and renowned single malt Scotch whisky distilleries in the world. The distillery is situated near the town of Tain in Ross-shire and was founded in 1843. Today, Glenmorangie is part of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), one of the world's leading luxury goods conglomerates.

    Glenmorangie was established in 1843 by William Matheson, who utilized the former buildings of a brewery for whisky distillation. Since its inception, the distillery has continuously evolved and modernized to produce high-quality whisky. In 1918, Glenmorangie was acquired by the Macdonald & Muir family, who managed the distillery for several generations.

    A unique feature of Glenmorangie is the height of its stills. At 8 meters tall, the highest in Scotland, they contribute to the production of an exceptionally pure and light distillate. This allows only the purest vapors to condense and be processed into a fine whisky. Glenmorangie also exclusively uses natural ingredients, including barley and water from the Tarlogie Springs, known for their purity.

    Maturation plays a central role in the production of Glenmorangie whisky. The distillery is renowned for its expertise in cask management and uses a variety of casks to create complex and layered flavors. The cask types include ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, carefully selected and specially crafted for Glenmorangie. Additionally, the distillery experiments with different cask types such as sherry, port, and wine casks to create special finishes.

    The Glenmorangie range includes a wide array of single malt whiskies known for their versatility and quality.
