Edradour, die legendäre Lieblings-Brennerei vieler Whisky-Fans, füllt unter der Marke Ballechin ihre torfigsten Single Malts ab. Gebrannt aus Malz mit mindestens 50 ppm Rauchanteil, reifen die rauchigen Highland-Whiskys für ihr vielfältiges Geschmacksprofil in ganz unterschiedlichen Fassarten.

Der neue Standard kombiniert genussvoll starken Torfrauch und einen lieblichen Sherrycharakter. Der 15-jährige Ballechin ist ein Vatting mit einem stark rauchigen Geist, der in First Fill exBourbon Barrels und Second Fill exOloroso Sherry Butts reifte.

Batch #1 wurde in 3.126 Flaschen exklusiv für den deutschen Markt abgefüllt und ist mit 15 Jahren immer noch eine der ältesten Abfüllungen der Marke.

Süße Rauch- und dunkle Fruchtaromen finden sich bei einem Alkoholgehalt von 59,4%vol. Die Fassstärke und die fehlende Kühlfiltration kommen hier voll zur Geltung.
