Collection Old Overholt - Rye Whiskey

  • Old Overholt - American Whiskey

Old Overholt is said to be America’s oldest continuously operating whiskey brand, founded in 1810 in West Overton, Pennsylvania.

After World War II, Americans turned to clear spirits, and Old Overholt soon became the only nationally distributed pure rye whiskey on the market. Although it was the only rye whiskey on the market, it struggled and was sold to the James B. Beam Distilling Company in 1987.

After the sale, production was moved to Kentucky. Beam Suntory markets Old Overholt as one of "The Olds" alongside Old Grand-Dad.
