DESCRIPTION

The Nc’nean Aon – STR Cask #18-393 is an organic single malt Scotch whisky, bottled exclusively for Kirsch Import. Distilled in July 2018 and bottled in June 2024, this special whisky matured for almost six years in a single STR red wine cask with the cask number 18-393. STR stands for "Shaved, Toasted, Recharred," a special process where wine casks are reconditioned to impart unique flavors to the whisky.

This single cask offers the rare opportunity to experience one of the most important components of the Nc’nean recipe in its purest form. With an alcohol content of 57.1% vol. at cask strength, the Nc’nean Aon presents intense and complex flavor notes. It delights with delicious aromas of candied ginger, spiced apricots, and blackberry jam, developed through maturation in the STR red wine cask.

    The Nc'Nean Distillery, located on the Morvern Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, is one of the youngest and most environmentally friendly whisky distilleries in the country. Founded in 2017, Nc'Nean became known as Scotland's first fully organic distillery and focuses on sustainable production methods.     The name Nc'Nean is derived from "Neachneohain," the Queen of Spirits in Gaelic legend.
