DESCRIPTION

Ca. 60 Prozent – so groß ist der Anteil an Sherryfässern im vielfältigen Fasslager der Hercynian Distilling Co. Eines der fruchtigen Eichenfässer aus Spanien konnten wir für eine Exklusivabfüllung sichern. Für den fassstarken ElsBurn 11 y.o. füllte die Harzer Manufaktur ein Hogshead ab, das zuvor mit Cream Sherry belegt war. Dessen Basis: (halb)trockener Oloroso Sherry, der mit natursüßem Wein oder konzentriertem Traubenmost verschnitten wird.

Das Ergebnis schmeckt ebenso vollmundig süß wie samtig und cremig – köstliche Eigenschaften, die auch das Single Cask veredeln. Malzige Noten, süße Trockenfrüchte, Zartbitterschokolade und Mandeln feiern in Nase und Gaumen ein Aromafest.

Dafür waren dem handgefertigten Hercynian Single Malt aus hellem, nicht-rauchigem Malz und geröstetem Chocolate-Malz mehr als 11 Jahre im First Fill Cream Sherry Hogshead Nr. 759 gegönnt. Der Whisky aus dem Harz ist wie immer zu 100 Prozent natürlich.
