DESCRIPTION
Im Elsbachtal, eingebettet in die Berglandschaft des Südharzes, liegt die Hammerschmiede. Statt Eisenerz verarbeitet die Familie Buchholz hier einen anderen regionalen Rohstoff: Gerste. Seit 2002 steht die Spirituosen-Manufaktur für Hercynian Single Malt – anspruchsvollen Whisky aus dem Herzen Deutschlands, der seitdem national wie international Beachtung findet. Der Grund: die außerordentliche Vielfalt der Whiskys, die u.a. mit einer imposanten Auswahl an Süd- und Süßweinfässern geschmiedet werden.

Neuestes Kunstwerk der Harzer: der ElsBurn Port 7 y.o. Von 2014 bis 2021 ruhte der milde Original Hercynian Single Malt in First Fill Port Hogsheads. Vorbelegt waren die aromatischen Fässer mit Portwein vom Typ Ruby, einer besonders kräftigen und fruchtigen Variante des portugiesischen Likörweins. Abgefüllt in 660 Flaschen bereitet die limitierte Sonderabfüllung exklusiven Hochgenuss. Das intensiv fruchtige, komplex liebliche Erlebnis wird untermauert von kernigen 65% vol. Cask Strength.
