DESCRIPTION

The Scapa 16 Year Old is a Scottish single malt whisky from the traditional Scapa distillery on the Orkney Islands. Founded in 1885, the distillery uses a unique combination of traditional pot stills and a Lomond Wash Still, which results in a particularly fruity and honey-sweet whisky.

This whisky matured for 16 years in first-fill bourbon casks made of American oak, giving it a balanced combination of fruity flavors and subtle wood notes. With an alcohol content of 48% ABV, it is a complex yet accessible drink. On the nose, the Scapa 16 Year Old reveals aromas of ripe mangoes, vanilla, spices, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, warming spices dominate, accompanied by notes of apple pie, vanilla fudge, and a gentle oak influence. The finish is long, fruity, and pleasantly spicy.
