DESCRIPTION
Jack Daniels ist zweifelsohne der berühmteste Tennessee-Whiskey der Welt. Wir sprechen über diese besondere Produktion Liter-Bond-100 in der Flasche getestet hat eine Geschichte, die seinen Namen erklärt: 100 Test, Test, in Englisch. In der Tat ist es eine Geschmacksproduktion, die in der Geschichte dieses Whiskeys ihre Daseinsberechtigung hat. Die Geschichte geht auf das Jahr 1897 zurück, als der US-Kongress die Regeln für die Abfüllung und den Verkauf von Whiskey festlegte.

Die Maßnahme war notwendig, weil die Herstellung von Destillaten bis dahin recht gefährlich war und es praktisch keine Garantie dafür gab, dass es sich tatsächlich um Whiskey und nicht um ein oft gesundheitsschädliches Gebräu handelte. Die Vorschrift besagt, dass der Tennessee-Whiskey mindestens vier Jahre lang gereift sein muss. Und daher auch die Erklärung für den Namen dieser Produktion: Jeweils 100 Flaschen werden getestet, um die Einhaltung des Gesetzes zu beweisen.

Nose Gekochte Früchte, bestäubt mit Zimt, geröstetem braunem Zucker und Mandeln.
Palate Grüner Apfel und gebratene Banane, gepaart mit Ahornsirup und kräftigem schwarzem Pfeffer.
Finish Eiche und Toffee bleiben im Abgang erhalten.

    Jack Daniel's is a brand of Tennessee whiskey and the best-selling whiskey in the world. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, by the Jack Daniel's Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation since 1956.

    The product meets the regulatory criteria for classification as straight bourbon, although the company chooses not to use this classification. It markets the beverage as "Tennessee whiskey" rather than "Tennessee bourbon." The mash for Jack Daniel's is made from corn, rye, and malted barley and is distilled in copper stills. It is then filtered through 3.0-meter-high stacks of sugar maple charcoal.

    The company refers to this filtering step as "mellowing." This additional step, known as the Lincoln County Process, removes impurities and the taste of corn. The product label mentions that it is a "sour mash" whiskey, meaning that a portion of the wet solids from a previously used batch is mixed into the mash to ensure a more consistent fermentation process.

    After being used to mature Jack Daniel's whiskey, many barrels go to Scotland, where they are used to make Scotch whisky. Some barrels are leased by the Glenmorangie Distillery.
